How Cardology works

Cardology reads a normal deck of playing cards as a map of the year, and of you. It’s not fortune-telling. Think of your cards as a mirror: they show you your patterns, and once you can see a pattern, you can choose what to do with it.

1. STEP 1

   A deck is a calendar

   52 cards, 52 weeks. Four suits, four seasons. Thirteen cards in each suit, thirteen weeks in each season. Add up every card's value and you get 364, plus the Joker for the final day of the year.

2. STEP 2

   Your birthday has a card

   Every date belongs to one card. It's worked out with a simple formula: 55 minus (twice your birth month plus your birth day). The answer points to one card in the deck. That's your Birth Card.

3. STEP 3

   Your star sign adds a second card

   Your Planetary Ruling Card comes from the planet that rules your star sign. It's the energy underneath: the part of you that shows up when you're relaxed, in love, or at home.

4. STEP 4

   Your cards travel with you

   Each Birth Card sits in a fixed place in the Life Spread, and the cards around it are yours for life. Each birthday you also get a new yearly spread, showing what's active from one birthday to the next.

The cards show tendencies, not destinies. Nothing here predicts your future or tells you what will happen. It shows you how you’re wired, so you can play your hand better.
